How big are
the apples? We purchase
only the largest, freshest apples available.
The finished
product weighs in anywhere between 1.5 - 2 lbs. depending on
the toppings with one able to serve 6-8 people.
How long do the apples
last? The apples will last for one week
at room temperature and about two weeks refrigerated. If
stored in the refrigerator, be sure to bring back to room
temperature before cutting into.
What is the best way to store the
apples? Keeping the apples refrigerated
is the best way to keep them fresher longer. However,
once cut into, you can rub with a little lemon juice to
prevent browning then wrap tightly in some plastic wrap.
Do NOT freeze.
How are the apples
packaged? Each apple is individually boxed
in a custom sized box made just for the apples. In the
summer months we package the apples in a box insulated with
gel ice packs to keep the apples cool for shipping. In
the winter months the outside air temperature is usually cool
enough to package the apples without the insulation and ice
packs.
How are my apples
shipped? All packages
are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. We are currently
on our Summer schedule and are shipping Monday through
Wednesday. USPS Priority
Mail is a two to three day delivery to most destinations.
Though the apples are very durable and well insulated,
we want to avoid having them set a day somewhere in a hot
warehouse. Note: For an additional charge we can ship
USPS Express Mail, guaranteed overnight, or second day, if
your gift must absolutely arrive on a specific
date. What types of payments do you
accept? We only accept payment through
Pay Pal, which accepts all major credit cards and e-checks as
well as regular transferring of funds for existing Pay Pal
members. At this time we are not accepting mail-in orders.
Please note that when paying through Pay Pal that all
billing is handled through Black Sheep Media.
